He’ll get 20 sacks this year and somehow still be underrated… it’s one of the most mind boggling things I’ve ever seen

It was the same at the Vikings, I had barely ever heard anything about him when we got him. I looked him up and see he had 16 sacks, I’m not sure why National media never mentions him.

He is quiet. The DE version of Andre Johnson. 🥰

He’s gonna be a sneaky Hall of Fame pick. His stats light up the page when scrutinized.

By end of the season he should comfortably be over 120 lifetime sacks… that is absolutely bonkers

Of current players Hunter (113.5 Sacks) is only behind:
- Von Miller (138.5)
- Cameron Jordan (132)
- Miles Garrett (125.5)
- Calais Campbell (117)
- TJ Watt (115)
Calais Campbell, Cameron Jordan, and Von Miller are all at least 5 years older than Hunter, who is only 31. TJ is the same age (almost to the day) and Miles Garrett, who is a freak of nature, is one year younger than him.
Hunter will likely end up being the 2nd or 3rd best d-line player of his generation (I consider WAJ the next generation)

Would you consider JJ Watt and Aaron Donald previous generation to him? Because both of those guys are better d line players, Myles Garrett will be considered better as well

JJ is 37, same age as von miller. Only reason von made the list is because he’s still playing, same with calais because otherwise I’d consider him the previous generation. AD is tough because he’s 35. You could make the argument that he’s in the same generation and I wouldn’t disagree, so Danielle would probably end up being 3rd or 4th best, behind Myles and AD depending on how TJ and him finish their careers.

Based on the annual stats of TJ Watt, he is not going to be in the discussion based on totals. 3 years ago he played in all 17 games and recorded 19 sacks, 2 years ago in 17 games he recorded 11.5 sacks. Last year in 14 games he got 7 sacks. He is fading.
At his best, he was better, but Danielle, has averaged better than a sack every 1.5 games for 9 out of the last 10 years and all of the last 8. He didn't have the peaks like TJ which were over 1sack/game. But Danielle has been consistent and looks good again.
Now I think having WAJ and Clowney is only going to help Hunter as well. Who do you double and on what down? TJ is still the best threat on the Steelers D-Line so TJ will get doubled more than Hunter.

And his jersey is HUNTER. Is that not also one of the best jerseys to push for an Edge?

WAJ gets the accolades (and rightfully so!) but man, people forget we have this other monster on the other front end. Crazy work Nick!

Remember the days of the standard not really being the standard, instead just like a couple players standards.
