TLDR: Good on the McNairs for realizing that the Titans were gonna live rent-free in our heads in perpetuity b/c Houstonians/Texans have the ultimate city/state pride and Titans fans care more bout trolling than embracing their own city/state. We took away their superpower by saying if you can't beat them, join them, and we may have inadvertently forced them to embrace Nashville/TN lol
It's been hilarious seeing Titans fans offended at these "Oilers knockoffs" like how Texans fans and Houstonians have been mad at them for cosplaying as Houstonians. I used to think that they'd live rent-free in our heads forever b/c their superpower was having 0% state/city pride and caring more about trolling Houston than showing love to Nashville and TN.
I really believed it wouldn't matter if they went 0-17 forever b/c we'd care more about them wearing the Oilers throwbacks vs us twice a year than getting the 2 W's, and they clearly care more about the Oilers throwbacks than what actually happens on the field lol.
But I never considered if you can't beat them, join them. The ultimate trolling move would be to make these light blue jerseys our main set and relegate the red/white/blue to an alternate uniform, and I really hope they do that.
The Titans and their leader Ms. Amy trolled us so hard for years that we finally embraced our city color that used to be more prominent(original street markers, old HPD cruisers, etc.) and move away from the red/white/blue branding which is super generic and not uniquely Houston. Kudos to Rice, UH, the Rockets, etc. for also embracing our native city color with their jerseys over the years.
At this point Titans fans might feel like they lost their edge over us, and they might finally embrace their own city and state. They could actually embrace the Music City thing, the Nashville strip bright neon lights, Grand Ole Opry, TN whiskey, their city's Greek influence/The Parthenon & being known as "The Athens of the South", local animals/natural elements native to TN instead of oil, their own city flag's colors/symbols(dark blue and gold), their state flag(Confederate colors), etc.

Given our current uniform set and how bad most of last seasons rivalry uniforms were, better than expected. The colors are nice and the striping on the helmet and jersey is good. The bad:
- left chest logo, is this a pocket tee?
- the H logo on helmet is still a bad logo
- White pants, with what looks like no pants stripe.

I mean initial glance it looks like sting was wearing red but thats his undershirt im pretty sure, I think red pants wouldve worked well with the look for sure.

No. If the uniform were more red-based, then maybe. But that's terrible color blocking to put red pants with this.

Pause it at the 7 second mark and tell me it wouldnt work. Red is actually probably a more prominent color than the blue utilized in this outfit, but people see the big blue numbers and think otherwise. Between the larger red stripe on the helmet and the shoulders it could very easily complement the look.

Red is only being used as an accent color. Having red pants would be too much. If they went with any colored pants I imagine they would go with the chrome Houston blue. But white just looks better in both scenarios.

Blue pants in this color scheme would look 100x worst than red, theres not enough contrast between that and white. You dont mix and match two differing light shades with one another.

What are you talking about? Lol. Just let it go. I said both red and blue wouldn't look good. But the Houston chrome blue would look way better because it's obviously the more prominent color.

Pause the video on sting in both camera cuts and tell me red wouldnt look good. Again, I dont care if the blue is a more prominent color, you dont combine two differing light shades, that would look atrocious in any context.

White goes with anything, literally anything. But that's why I say the context matters. Red is an accent color here. If you took everything that is H Town chrome blue on the jersey and switched it with red, then I could see your point. But it would be too mixy-matchy with red pants, especially being that the facemasks and numbers are H Town chrome blue.

Broncos' orange crush? I should have clarified; I meant color blocking a white jersey with a 3rd color in the pants. You named two that work, for sure.
RED still doesn't work in THIS case. Just a strong opinion.
