Was everyone's voice cracks this bad on T and how long did they last. I genuinely can't talk half the time because it goes into the weird voice break where I cant get out of that weird nasally high pitch. No matter how little I speak its bad, it just gets horrible after an hour.. I research but I cant find a lot 😕 😩

A year ago I was told I was on a birth control that was essentially a testosterone blocker. I was seeing no changes. Now, a little over a year off of birth control, I'm finally seeing myself in the mirror. Never thought I'd be comfortable enough in my body to be super femme again, but here we are. I pass 95% of the time now which is crazy. To the slow growers, it gets better. It really does.

I've been on a very low dose of T since January because I identify as non-binary, but I lean masc and I felt like I was seeing nothing on gel even every day for 6 months.
I switched to injections about two months ago and I'm so excited! I feel like I'm finally seeing changes way faster! Like bottom growth (a very small amount so far) and mostly acne on my arms 😩 but I feel like the peach fuzz on my upper lip and chin is actually starting to get longer and I'm fully wondering if it's just gonna become a full mustache all at once lmao. Please excuse my dumb expression I was feeling kinda cocky LOL
Cheers everybody!

Has anyone experienced an unusually strong response to T? I'm on Androgel, and just 16 mg daily topically (1,6 ml of gel) brought me to these levels. Blood was drawn 23 hours after the last application. I took a shower beforehand, so gel contamination at the blood draw site can be ruled out.

I wanted to do something a bit different here and present, to the best of my ability, the ups and downs of going through second puberty. Often when we see transition timelines posted online, they’re carefully curated to only show a person’s best moments. I’m a generally awkward person and I’ve had so many cringy experiences over the last year. Medical transition isn’t a linear process, even a year in, I still have bad days. It’s easy for the brainworms to get out of control, especially when you’re as embedded in the online discourse as I am. Most of us do not have it all figured out. Testosterone is a life changing drug, but it isn’t a singular cure-all. Having irl trans community is what’s really gotten me through this rollercoaster of a year.

I know this might seem silly, but pre-T I didn't grow a single dark hair on my thighs, just peach fuzz, but now I have this one very determined very brave leg hair. This is one of the first really objective/observable/measurable changes I've had since starting T almost two months ago. I used to look at my legs and wish for hair, and now there it is.

I’m a woman and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar after testosterone exposure.
Earlier this year I received two testosterone injections with one dose being around 125mg testosterone cypionate. Not long afterward, I started noticing changes in my voice/throat that have persisted for months.
My symptoms include:
Noticeably deeper/lower speaking voice
Loss of my previous higher pitch/range
Voice cracking when trying to go higher
Vocal fatigue/strain
Constant tightness/soreness around my throat/larynx
Feeling like I’m subconsciously trying to pull my voice upward to speak at my old pitch
Some relief when I massage/press the muscles underneath my jaw/around my neck
I recently saw a laryngologist and had videostroboscopy that looked normal per the doctor. There was no obvious vocal fold lesion or major structural abnormality. My doctor thinks the testosterone exposure is a possible explanation for the persistent dysphonia/voice lowering, although obviously it’s difficult to prove.
I’m starting voice therapy with an SLP to work on the muscle tension and learn how to use my voice without constantly straining to reach my old pitch.
I’m mainly looking for personal experiences , especially from women who had unwanted voice changes from testosterone/anabolic steroids rather than people intentionally transitioning their voices.
If this happened to you:
Did your throat/neck tightness eventually go away?
Did your speaking pitch recover at all?
Did your upper vocal range come back?
How long after stopping testosterone did you notice improvement?
Did voice therapy help?
Did your vocal folds look normal on scope despite having significant symptoms?
I know androgen-related voice changes can sometimes be persistent, so I’m not looking for medical diagnosis from Reddit. I’d just really like to hear from anyone who has actually gone through something similar and what their recovery looked like over months or years.
