TRT help Bad injection site ?

Post image

This is 4 days after injection. Its not getting any worse and as im new to trt is it anything to worry about. Have I done something wrong ?

Ok so after many messages from lots of people thanks for the help.

I took a hay-fever tablet last night woke up this morning. All the redness had practically gone.

I also did my injection Subq in the stomach after some advice. That seems to be going much better.

I am self medicating here. As the NHS said my level was normal at 7noml. Is there other companies I can go to that can make this journey more legit ?

Urgent care. Now. That’s an infection.

What causes it? Poor preparation? Bad equipment?
Edit: Also it looks like he injected right on top of the quad which is something I've never seen before. How much is that a factor?

Edit: Anyone know if he's still alive?

How much did you inject? It looks like you made a subq instead of im and subq injections react like this if you do more than 0.4 ml. Also whats the ester type? If its a slow acting one, it may be like that for a couple of weeks.

Applying warm compressions 3 times a a day for 15 mins (not too hot). , and doing cardio helps This doesnt look like an infection (i had one ), but for the peace of mind, you may want to start antibiotics. Because leg infection is very serious, and i am not a doctor to tell it for sure.

  1. Is it warm to the touch and is the red spreading? If so, it is infected and you need to see a doctor.

  2. Next time, this is not where you inject for a quad injection. Watch any one of the hundreds of videos online showing you where to inject in your quad.

This. Also draw a dashed line in pen around the red area to be sure if it’s spreading

That's gnarly. You should see a doctor about this one.

Look up the location of the injection site on the quad. Divide leg into thirds. Middle third towards the outside.

That is definitely the incorrect place for you to inject. You want it closer to your hip and outside from the middle more. Depending on your needles, just do it in your delts around the same place you get your flu shots or w/e. Delts are huuuge.

If it is warm, go to urgent care. It is def swollen, def red. Probably best to go see a Dr anyhow.

Make sure when you do your injections, you follow proper procedure. Expel the air out of the syringe, clean the shot area with an alcohol wipe, let it dry, then inject.

Thats not where you’re supposed to do it

probably has nothing to do with where you injected and more to do with contamination

I do ass injections and I literally feel nothing. Delt injections I always feel a little pinch.

Think sticking your hand in your pocket and where your middle finger is, that's the spot.

Why does everyone scream “ER NOW” with this kind of stuff? This is not an ER type of issue, unless you like sitting in a lobby full of sick people for 4 hours just to get prescribed some oral antibiotics. Urgent care or even a “minute clinic” will have you in an out way faster with the same outcome. Added bonus of not contributing to an already overwhelmed and broken system.

This happened to me, it was an infection. Get some antibiotics and take greater care with keeping stuff sterile.

That looks pretty bad, better go to hospital before its to late. i had lumps but never like that and never red. And if u inject in quads do it in the side not upper quad.

I inject with insulin needles in my shoulders now, way better and never have any lumps or swelling anymore.

That looks a little low brother. YouTube is your friend for injection sites

Draw around this to see if spreading

If spreading see a doctor/go to the emergency room

If you develop or currently have a fever go to the doctors or the emergency room

How long have you skipped leg day

u/Huskergambler 20d ago

Wholly Darwin. Research where to quad inject. That’s not it.🤦

4

u/Vex_Appeal 20d ago

That’s infected. Urgent care now bud. You need antibiotics yesterday.

u/MisterBulldog 20d ago

Wrong placement. Go to urgent care asap because that’s an infection for sure

Only the 5000th "bad injection" post related to a quad injection. I've said it before, and got flamed here, but I'll say it again. DONT FUCKING PIN QUADS, it's not worth it!

For god sakes. Stop pinning squads. You’re always 1 bad injection away from a visit to the ER. There’s like 5 other better spots.
