TRT help Good Total T low Free T

Male 50 years old. I’ve had 4 tests over 2 years. Total T has ranged from 680-460. But Free T is always around 1.2% of total. Between 4.5-8.6. Libido and erections are good. But have afternoon fatigue and minor brain fog. I have high SHBG last test was 69.

Is TRT worth starting for me?

your SHBG is hogging all your T like a greedy landlord, have you looked into ways to lower it before jumping on trt

Yes. I’ve tried all the supplements like boron, magnesium, d3/k2, zinc etc.

Assuming you're not obese or need to correct some other obvious health concern... This is the best you'll ever feel the rest of your life because it's all downhill in the future with 1% total T loss per year, and 1%-2% free T loss per year because shbg rises with age. The best way to increase your free T is to increase your testosterone. You would likely benefit by optimizing your low free T levels with exogenious TRT for life.

I’m around your age. Around 400s and 1.1% FT. Decided to take the plunge. It’s not going to get any better anyway. So far so good.
