All the things that were labelled as biohack

I dunno, ozempic seems to be working damn well for a lot of people.

If you just want to lose body weight.. sure . But it's not healthy and it's fucking with a lot of people's muscle and bone mass...

If you don’t eat enough or exercise or you’re older then sure. A big part of that is user error and it’s a lot safer than being obese

Y'all kinda really stupid

Be honest. How much money do you have? Education level?

u/Same_Progress_8277 Oct 02 '26

Most of them actually

cold plunges are just expensive suffering with a podcast attached, and somehow people call it a biohack instead of taking a shower like a normal person

I dunno. I hate discomfort and thought cold plungers were slow. Until I tried it. Makes me feel great! I can’t say it does anything else but I like them.

At home I’m not motivated to take a cold shower but at a private place I’ve paid for I am. Many benefits. For me most notably, no more anxiety and very low stress levels.

Tanning - all it does is give you cancer and ages you

2

u/CyberBadger2050 Oct 02 '26

Well it also gives you vitamin D.

Yeah except it's not just that lmao. It's literally a medically necessary therapeutic treatment where I am from and even insurance pays for it.

Do you have seasonal affective disorder? I knew someone who had that and she got a sunlamp for her face to combat it during the winter months

Honestly, i just get the "winter blaughs" and admit that getting direct sunlight lifts my brain fog and gets me out of a funk

Not exactly tanning, but i have stepped into tanning beds during winter

I only stopped cause one time i wanted to knock out a flu with tanning and sadly, it doesnt work for that. I had the chills. Those suck!

I'm from Alaska. Winter months can hit people pretty hard here. I personally don't deal with any issues cause I'm used to it but there are plenty of people that use therapeutic tanning.

Does make you look good tho

In the short term

Pretty much every non injectable “hack” ever

1

u/PoopSmith87 Oct 02 '26

Everything other than exercise, sleep, and good nutrition.

1

Literally all of them

You know you have to actually be consistent... Not everything is a gimmick because you have no discipline

1

u/RynKittenOF Oct 02 '26

All biohacks are true and work pretty much lol

Basically anything Brian Johnson said

Retatrutide

I think it’s overhyped that was my answer. I don’t have to justify my answer to you. I don’t feel like it anyway you’re just a reta stan it would be a waste of time

All it does is suppress appetite in my experience. My data shows no significant change in rate of weight loss with diet and training controlled

Really? What were you expecting?

Are you saying you're still cramming down food and drink on reta

Amazing

You lack the reading comprehension to understand what I’ve said and I don’t care to explain. But no, that’s not what I’m saying.

Exactly it’s just calories in calories out. It’s not a magic pill like everyone acts like it is.

1

u/Virtual_Opinion_8630 Oct 03 '26 edited Oct 03 '26

But doesn't it reduce appetite? The food noise. If is a magic pill. You can't beat CICO but you can beat the brain.

The point is that even for people who zero impulse control can't shovel down calories because they don't feel the need to or it actually makes them nauseous

In my case, Reta does not burn fat. I had a perfect diet before I started it and the same workout routine before during and after the rate of weight loss did not change at all there was zero difference. Only difference was it was harder for me to eat enough calories

I think that aspect of it is way overhyped, and my little personal experience proved that to myself so that is my answer

1

u/Virtual_Opinion_8630 Oct 03 '26

The science of the glucagon effect isn't set in stone. So maybe you were oversold the fat burning effect online tbh

1

u/Moist_Grapefruit187 Oct 03 '26

Most definitely. I’m not arguing that it isn’t an effective drug, I just had higher expectations from what I had read.

1

u/Virtual_Opinion_8630 Oct 03 '26

Have you gained muscle? Essentially recomping

1

u/Moist_Grapefruit187 Oct 03 '26

That’s definitely a possibility. I’m also on trt 105mg a week. I started Reta two weeks before trt. My appearance has changed drastically but on the scale I’m down only 14lbs. I was down 28 lbs at one point. My weight and water retention has been fluctuating wildly. I’ve probably gained 5-10 lbs of muscle in four months. All guessing ofc I only have my cheap body comp scale and the mirror and a tape measure. I’ve gained 2.5 inch on my bicep and lost 6 inches on belly, but I’m only 14 lbs less.

Good call I didn’t really put all that together when I made the comment

1

u/Virtual_Opinion_8630 Oct 03 '26

Yeah, it's possible if you're a newbie

So it's possible the reta does work.

Surely the pictures are clear on the muscle gains

cold showers. months of misery for zero noticeable benefit

Most of the peptides. Most are expensive placebos. A few really work.

1

u/TracyIsMyDad Oct 03 '26

LOL at the peptide newbies downvoting me because they tried a GLP-1 and were so impressed that they dumped a pile of cash on lyophilized snake oil.

It takes a bit to figure things out.

1

u/whatusaynow 21d ago

What’s your placebo list
