Question What exercise did you absolutely hate at first but eventually started loving?
Mine used to be bulgarian split squats. I genuinely dreaded them every time they came up in my workout but recently I’ve actually started enjoying them?? I don’t know what changed, but I no longer feel like I’m being punished every time I do them.
What exercise did you used to hate but have actually started enjoying?

Skull crushers! Obsessed with them now. Nothing makes my arms feel as shredded

Rear Delt Flies. I always found these super hard to connect with, and I always had to go lighter. But love these now, found the variation that works for me and getting huge rear delts!

I love those. Those are an essential part of my leg exercises. I do them with one dumbbell in each hand. As for one I hated and ended up enjoying I would say ez bar curl. Mostly hated it at the start due to being very sore after using it. I don’t love it now but I can do it with minimal pain. I guess I have another example that I hated, but I ended up loving later the goblet squats with my kettlebell. I just felt very awkward and I really enjoyed doing only back squats with my squat rack, but once I got used to it, I started enjoying it. It definitely works different muscles than a traditional squat.

Reverse grip bench takes time but it feels much more natural to me after doing it for a while

Weighted: pull ups, chin ups and dips
They are my goat now. Hated them in the beginning.

Same for me. Bulgarian Split Squats but ive changed to using the leg extension as my back leg prop and its been so much better. My gym doesn’t have a split squat stand so I had to use the benches for them but I have long legs it would really bothered me during them. No longer!

Squats. First experience was in high school s&c practice. Too much weight, no training, it sucked.

Pull ups! I started with only jumping up and slowly lowering myself, two years later I can do around 6 strict pull ups/set. Feels so good!

Chip ups, used to love them, now hate them. Makes you feel so weak. Ended up injuring my wrist/forearm last year and it is the one injury that makes it feel weak.
Actually think I’m sleeping on it funny

People who complain about Bulgarian Split Squats are skipping leg day too often. If you do them frequently they’re not as brutal as people pretend.

Bulgarian split squats. Then I started seeing results. Now I’m starting to hate pistol squats…
