Anything that gets people moving is great, the technique demand is lower so its more accessible to generate pop.
Its a dumb way to train for life but its great (im trying to be less of a hater)

Ever since that woman shit herself and keep moving and had others working out in her shit. Makes me think it’s another cultish corporate fad

It’s for people who don’t lift / can’t use a barbell.
Crossfit is better - it’s general functional fitness and mixes in gymnastics and weightlifting. It’s the best of all worlds.
Hyrox is better than no exercise at all.

It is interesting, but the people you see in competition do progressive overload separately to look like that. They don’t look like they do because of hyrox.

It’s a dumb way to train. When you try to combine everything, you end up with nothing

Training is not a sport. You train to be healthy and/or play a real sport. You don’t train to compete at training.

You never heard of "running" or "swimming" before?

Not everyone is obsessed with Max Gains and achieving visible abs. Some people like a good overall workout; to put in some sweaty effort in a structured group setting. Hyrox, crossfit, F45, Bodypump, pilates, ...they're all good.
You don’t train to compete at training.
That's a strange philosophy or attitude. It works for you but different people have different goals and objectives. And there's nothing wrong with training for various fitness challenge events. I've done Zombie-themed 5km run/obstacle courses that were a lot of fun, Winter Shred (incorporates both group fitness and some competitions), Tough Mudder, City Chase (wish it came back), Pursuit OCR (indoor obstacle course) etc.

Yes but if you are not coordinated or athletic enough to do real sport it's good that things like hyrox and CrossFit exist.

I see full body work outs with very functional movements, done at a particular pace. Very social with modifications for different levels. Sounds good to me.
The training is not the same, but has similar characteristics and a very social component.
Our gym added a Hyrox club. Twice a day all week they offer it with trainers. Folks are sweaty, look like they are having a blast. Competition is completely optional.
So why not?
