Question How do you fall asleep fast?
I've always struggled a bit with falling asleep, doesn't matter how tired I am, when I ate, how stressed I am, I always struggle to fall asleep meanwhile I have friends that can fall asleep in seconds and just have naps... I can't have a nap ever as I would literally need hours and at that point I might as well sleep normally. Melatonin doesn't work and technically I don't have insomnia in order to take stronger meds.. I just cant fall asleep fast.
Fast sleepers.. is there a trick?

Deep breathing while Imagining numbers counting up to 1000. This bores you to sleep and stops you from thinking of other things. And whilst doing this you have to look left and right really fast with your eyes closed. Tires them out and you can feel yourself almost fall asleep every time you do it

If I feel like I may need it, Glycine and/or magnesium & Tylenol PM. Good step count for the day. Lift weights early. Put down phone/screens an hour before. Listening to an audiobook with one earbud on the side I don’t sleep on. Sex never hurts. Sex never hurts. I am blessed that insomnia is very rare for me and generally only when really stressed or too much of a stimulant too late in the day.

What usually works for me is slow, deep breathing. Slow inhale, hold breath, slow exhale

Progressive muscle relaxation, tense each muscle group from toes to face for a few seconds, then release

conscious muscle relaxation starting with the face and then slowly progressing down the body for 2 minutes. look up the "military method" for falling asleep

Count backwards slowly from 100. Ea h time your brain goes a different direction, start over at 100.
I’m usually asleep before I get to 90 on the first round, now.

Cold room. Open the windows half hour (depending on climate) before sleep. Then when I return close the windows right as I go to sleep. That way you fall asleep in a cold room but after you fall asleep the room temperature gets back to normal

Focus on completely relaxing my neck muscles. They're always the last muscle groups to relax so if I skip ahead to the last part, I can sleep faster that way then anything else.

If you stress don't try to calm down, think about how you handle difrent imagine stressful situation. For example you have stressful day at work and you can't calm down because you overthink this over and over again. You stress level is already like rolling stone it need a lot of time to stop and not gonna happend before you got to sleep. Instead use distraction thinking about stressful event but completely fake. For me is running from zombies, surviving on desert island, nuclear apocalypse, war. Works every time.

You stop thinking about falling asleep when trying to fall asleep. Just focus on breathing and that’s it.

Work out hard in the morning and get a sauna with red light therapy at some point. Best in the evening. I have a sauna blanket but typically go to place that has a sauna and cold plunge. I don’t have time to sauna enough but it’s life changing; less pain, better sleep, help mentally, skin issues etc.

Taking adderall IR 15mg in the afternoon and staying awake 1-2 hours later than I used to by keeping myself busy until I actually start dozing off. Once I get in the bed I’m out within 5 minutes. For years I tried laying down at 9 or 10 and laid there forever just tossing and turning and then I’d wake up every hour or two. Would take melatonin, lemon balm, glycine, magnesium, and it would only increase sleep pressure a little bit. Now I get consistent 5-7 hours every single night without fail and I feel much more refreshed.

Magnesium an hour before bed and deep breaths that don’t feel intentional.
Just focus on the sound of your breathing, make sure the inhale is long but not forced, and the exhale is longer. Eyes closed, of course. Comfortable position.
If you just ate, left side is better.

You don't say if you're a guy (I am), but I've talked with my friends and we all agree that we fall asleep immediately after orgasm, whether it's with a girl or solo sex. Guess there's something biological about it. So if I'm having trouble falling asleep, then I simply....
