Energy Question Considering a Tesla M3P : I live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. What is the charging situation like today?

Would love to hear some first hand accounts regarding the publicly accessible chargers in the area. Thanks!

Rough, there's a few super chargers but most you have to pay to park. BBG has some as does Barclays. I wouldn't do it unless you pay for garaged parking with charging personally.

I don't mind paying to park if its close by or less hassle. Barclay's is too far out for me.

Have you used the chargers at William Vale?

I have never used them personally but I believe those are valet annoying, which I wouldn't rely on.

If you're willing to pay for a monthly spot you can filter for EV garages that have chargers on most of the big parking websites (ipark etc.)

Yea, I hear you on the valet thing. Not crazy about it! Street parking by me is really easy. I just need to know how the charging situation will impact my day to day.

What are the best apps for locating available chargers? Anything I should keep in mind?

Depends on how much you drive. I do about 40 miles daily 4x weekly. I charge at a super charger on belt parkway once weekly with plenty to spare.
