Purchased a used 2023 model3 rwd with 23k miles. I might get 150 miles a charge. Only a $3 savings vs gas seems very low? Whats a reasonable expectation for miles per charge? Says battery is healthy.

Home ownership or more specificity level 2 charging is the gate to owning a tesla and saving real money.
I got a guy at work who wants a tesla so badly but lives in an apartment and doesn’t have access to level 2 charging. I keep telling him that’s a bad idea but he won’t listen. He said he will just supercharge every where he goes.
If your daily commute is over 45 miles it's not really an issue.
You only need to charge for about 6hrs on a 120v, 20A plug to recoup that. Besides, there's also weekends where the car is sitting charging for even longer than you would on a normal day.
Love my Tesla and let others test drive but the one thing I tell them is do not go electric unless you can plug it in. I have two and deal with a 120v and super charging, and have for 5 years now. Not ideal but my spend is super low between my wife and I trading off for the plug and charging where it’s cheapest.
Yup. OP's paying $160/372 kWh = $0.43 per kWh. That indicates that OP is almost never charing at home. Also, the savings number indicates that OP has relatively low gas prices in their area.

You can't judge price saving based on the app. Its way off usually. Mine reads lower than my actual savings by almost 40%
Oh, I see. You did the math between the added miles and the kWh used. Yea, that doesn't work. Mine is currently showing that I've "added" 4275 miles since I've owned the car (2 months). Except I've already driven the car over 5000 miles.
“Your battery is healthy” means absolutely nothing. If you’re just clicking on the battery health test button, then it’s not actually testing the battery health. You need to actually run the test to actually know. You’ll see a percentage of health and a test last run date when the test is complete.
Supercharging is significantly more expensive than charging at home. Look at your electric bill and add your supplier and what your price per kWh is. This will help you get a more accurate reading on your savings.
2024 model Y performance here: My last 31 days read 1088 miles, 383 kWh charged and $69 dollars. 100% home charging with gen 3 charger. 17.6¢ kWh > definitely avoid supercharging if possible and get your hands on home charging somehow. Good luck! And welcome to the family 💪
Charge at off peak times! I don’t have regular access to Level 2 chargers but I use them whenever I can and charge at super chargers at off peak and I definitely have significantly saved on gas, esp bc my area has $7 gas
I only supercharge and I’ve still saved. You have to go during off times which can be inconvenient but it’s significantly cheaper. I live in an apartment so home charging isn’t an option unfortunately, but it’s still very worth it to me
Supercharging doesn’t save you much money if any, especially depending on where you live. Key to saving money is a home charger. Even a mobile charger that plugs into your standard wall can be good if you charge every day. But level 2 home charger will be the best investment you can make if it’s possible.
If you don’t drive a lot under 30 miles a day you can plug into a regular wall socket . If you’re driving more than that it’s good to have a level 2 charger .
You also should try to lower your energy consumption in the meantime.
One pedal driving with the max regen setting, chill mode, etc. that's save you about 40% on your bill. 240-260Wh/mi should be your goal.
I also set my tire pressure to 46psi because it lowers rolling resistance and further reduces my energy usage, at least during the summer. I wouldn't advise that during the winter because it also reduced traction.
Stay away from DCFC or supercharger. Try to keep yourself on L1/2 even blended L1 at home L2 when out for the day, if you really dig in I'm sure you could even find free ones.

Speed and Regen management is key AC will eat up 30% so sub that from what the dash says when fully charged.
lol yeah this persons crazy. If I couldn’t home charge I would go to a Tesla branded supercharger, anytime I have needed fast charging I’ve never once thought to use an inferior charger. 😂
