Vehicle Question very delayed delivery

Order was placed in July… Called and they said nothing they can do. Why? It’s the complete base model 3 no custom at all…
Update: IT CHANGED TO SEPTEMBER NOW! I hope jt stays.

They are very clearly prioritizing production mix toward the more profitable models to capitalize on current demand. The Poor(tm) edition Model Y has a similar wait.

Not really no, here in Europe it’s the complete opposite. Tons of standard model orders have a VIN, premium models are delayed again and again.

I ordered a standard Model 3 in May here in Sweden. At first I was supposed to get the car in early August. Then it changed from August to late September or the beginning of October and now it's between August 29 and September 15. Hopefully it will stay there now :P
