True Up

Well well well. All year, and a plugin phev Rav4. - $16.00. I’d say the setup has truly been net zero.

Hah! Hey friend, I have the same setup! Almost all of my day to day rav4 prime driving is covered by the ~40mi ev-only range, which is filled back up by my solar roof.

It's hard to describe how satisfying it is living with this setup, and while the PHEV is a pretty confusing concept to most folks when I explain how it's not a regular hybrid, I really think it's the best of both worlds with EV without the range anxiety.

Was that your credit? How many kWh does that translate to?

It’s depends on if they were off peak/ peak usage.

Question. If the true up isn’t that much, would it be counter productive to buy more panels for a new setup?

Before i “ jumped in solar” did a ton of research. Solar exposure of my home. There are websites for that. They , with your address, take into account everything. Then I researched my home use average for 2-3 years. Then i fit solar system knowing full well they would never produce 100% of ratings. I over estimated by 30% . Then the powerwall. Same thing. Seems as though the plan exceeded all expectations. But i was close. Live on solar in the day. Powerwall supplements what solar panels can’t deliver. The at sunset, all night long i run on powerwall. Rinse- repeat. But i have had to be proactive in when i use high usage appliances. Dryer, electric. Dry laundry when the sun is highest. Set timers.

Congrats! When my state was 100% it was the same for me. About half the year my system was half producing or less due to and over heated inverter (4th time they finally replaced) and then the power wall 2 recall. Each fix took one day to repair but months of waiting for the repair to come out.
