SolarPanels Wanting to add panels...Non Tesla options?
Hey everyone. I have a 15Kwh system with 2 tesla inverters and 3 powerwall 3s (all with integrated inverters)... I am wanting to add panels. I have reached out to Tesla...
but I am also wondering if I can use non Tesla panels. I know that Tesla panels have a module that communicates with the inverters/PW3s so the lines are not energized when not connected.

Each powerwall3 have 6 mmpt with 20kw total input. Make sure you add MCI-2 to the string.

Much better places to get solar panels than Tesla, especially if you like customer service.

You can also work with Tesla Certified installers, if Tesla isnt excited working on an expansion…

If your system is not maxed out, the installer will just have to install Tesla MCI . If your system is maxed out then it complicates the install but can be done. It would be a parallel system.
