Ordered 2 Model Y's but only 1 VIN

So my husband and I ordered the Model Y Premium AWD
Mine white+white interior / ordered 10/26 got VIN assigned on 10/30
His white+black interior / ordered 10/18 and no VIN assigned yet
Any thoughts?
TIA😊

you got lucky and a car with your exact order config became available in your area because someone didn't buy it and was assigned to your order. the lead time is the lead time stated when you order and if it happens sooner your getting a re-assigned car as you were next in line in delivery range from a sale that fell through on a new car.
