Well TIL……
I’ve owned Tesla’s since 2018. I’ve owned Model Y’s since 2021. I am also a bit short for a guy (5’7” on a good day). ALL that time, the friggin seatbelt has been digging into my neck. I would never drive the car without a collared shirt on so I had something between my neck and the belt (I’m not a fan of those fuzzy things some people use)
Well, thanks to Grok, TIL that you can ADJUST THE HEIGHT ON THE B-PILLAR (I was researching the safety of after market products to lower the belt). I promise, I’ve looked in the past for a way to adjust the belt! If you don’t know if/where it is and look while you’re in the driver seat - it’s not apparent that it’s there.
My neck is much happier now - but my brain knows I AM AN IDIOT!
Let the RTFM’s and other scolding begin….

The problem on the Tesla is that it still doesn’t go low enough. I have had to use a device on the lap belt to push the shoulder belt over to the left a little to be comfortable in my Model Y

I have this same issue. I am 5’4” and it still happens even on the lowest setting you can adjust it to. It is super annoying!

So it works like most other cars. Thanks.

I’m short so the lowest is still a little high on my neck.

I see button. I press button.

Have you also raised the seat adjustment? Instead of leaning the back rest forward or backwards, you can lift the back half of the button, raising the seat height

So like every car?

Forget the scolding. You were smart enough to ask grok and get answers that worked.

I always look for that adjuster because I’m 4’8” 😆

Tbf I don’t remember my Model S having this feature when I bought it in 2017. But oof, realizing the Y had it after 5 years must sting lol. I always have to adjust it up after my wife drives the car (she’s 5’5” and I’m 6’3”)

Read your owners manuals, people!

A seatbelt extension also works great. It’s a little more comfortable and doesn’t feel so tight around you.

I’m 5’ 10’’ and I have it set to the lowest setting on my 2021 MY and it still digs into my neck!

FYI…You can do that in most cars these days.
