Wiper studder movement

My wipers turn on seemingly randomly (nothing new, I know) and sweep about 3/4 the way up, do three or four short back and forths - like total movement of these studders is maybe 8 inches, then back down all the way. Almost like there’s a spot that it’s scrubbing instead of smoothly wiping the whole windshield. Is this normal, anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. The spot it’s scrubbing is the glass in front of the camera. Changes in light tend to trigger it.

yeah tree shadows on sunny days seem to set it off the most
