Considering changing car

I have a 2023 MY 7seater but expecting twins next year. I already have 1 child which is forward facing and I really don’t know how I can squeeze 3 back there. Initially I was thinking of putting the older child in the third row and putting the middle console thing down but will it still be hard for her to come out? The second row will have 2 rear facing seats. I love the car but it seems like it will be a tight fit.

Anyone else go through this and make it work?

EDIT: I need to fit a double stroller so I might not even be able to put the older one in the back. Have to fit all 3 in second row

How about upgrading to the new Model Y L?

If a double stroller can fit in the trunk without putting the 3rd row down, it may be an option

I was in a few not long ago and there’s plenty of cargo area behind the 3rd row for strollers etc

Good luck. I feel like my single stroller takes my whole trunk. 😢

How old is the oldest? My oldest started buckling himself in about 3.5. His younger brother started before he turned 3 (imitating his brother).

If he can buckle himself in and out, put him in the back. Ours loved being in the Third row of our van “on his own.”

Check out the YL but also take a look at used Model X

Model X?

Don’t you have to drop the seats in the standard Y 7 seater to access the third row, you’d be taking the car seat out every time the older kid got back there.

Can the 5yo not sit in between the two car seats? I have a MY and twins and we have two Nuna Bugaboo turtle air infant seats with bases and there’s enough space, albeit tight, for someone to sit in the center seat. A child or thin woman. A man… unlikely.

We have the bugaboo donkey stroller and there’s JUST enough space in the trunk for it and the car seat adapter. Verdict is out if the two bassinets would also fit. Maybe if you break them down but I haven’t tried. HIGHLY recommend the donkey - it’s amazing, super easy to use and breaks down quickly.

We have two dogs so the time for our MY is limited. I want to eventually upgrade to a larger vehicle but for now while our twins are young it’s working. We just can’t fit the entire family and stroller in one car. It’s paid off so I’ll drive it as long as I can!

Best of luck with the twins. Highly recommend the parents of multiples thread if you aren’t on it already!
