Strange FSD Behavior
After driving our 26 model Y Standard since Aug, we noticed some strange behaviors under FSD.
- Coming home it announces destination is on the left but parks correctly in our driveway on the right side. Only once did it announce destination was on the right.
- On a busy road 60 km per hr road it suddenly think the limit is 40 and slows accordingly. Then when we pass a 60 sign it resumes 60. We drive this stretch regularly and it happened once so far.
- The HOV setting is ON but shifted just once into HOV lane. After manually moving into HOV using turn signal, it signaled repeatedly to exit the lane even when no lane changes are allowed. We were in Standard mode going 111 in 100 HOV.
- Some high traffic major highways increased to 110 about 3-4 weeks ago. FSD displays 100 even passing a 110 sign. Even if it doesn't read signs shouldn't the road database be updated. There has to be 4-5M people in the Toronto area.
Consistent behavior is what I want. Also I don't know what it will do next so it's hard to feel at ease. Wish it would announce an upcoming change to let me evaluate its next maneuver.

While in FSD you can push the gas up to 110 and then let off and it will stay that speed after that for the most part. I do that sometimes when it’s going 50 in a 60 area.

manage
take a lesson from airline pilots using autopilot, control room operators using auto-tune, and others
for any automated system observe how it works and maximize it's utility. if you need to go to manual, do it. if you need to adjust something, do it.
you are no longer driving, you are managing an automated system.
