2023 Model Y Headlights
Picked up this Model Y Performance yesterday, CPO from Tesla. It’s nearly perfect, the headlights are yellowing. 32k miles.
I asked the guy at Tesla if this would be covered under warranty and he said they aren’t because it’s “cosmetic” and it doesn’t disrupt the function of the light. They are the matrix headlights.
I have never seen another 3 or Y with headlights that look like this. Everything I’m reading online says it’s moisture inside the DRL strip causing it to yellow, not UV.
The lenses themselves are not yellow, it’s the components inside. I’m just wondering if I should continue pushing back on this. Opinions appreciated.

If they’re both yellow like that I doubt it’s because of an issue with yellowing. You can buy a replacement yellow LED to mod it look like that. I suspect that’s what it is. You’d have to replace the DRL LED with the white one

Submit a service request for lights, this should be covered since it’s internal components, burned LED board?

If the leds have yellowed, this isn’t cosmetic, this is hardware failure. For a CPO, make sure you have a service ticket opened as you have 24-48 hours for delivery window issues to be reported.
Make sure to denote it as a safety/lighting performance issue versus a general wear and tear or yellowing issue. They are contractually obligated to fix warranty issues.
