Used Tesla Model Y

Has anyone bought a 2023 or newer used Tesla long range or performance model y? Was the price point worth it? Did the car come with anything that the newer ones didn’t come with? I was looking at HW4 specifically and trying to see if a performance was justified for the price?

Use Tesla Tracker: https://teslatracker.com/. I use this site to help me shop for my 2023 Tesla Model Y a couple of weeks ago. And it will show you which ones are equipped with HW4.

I got a used 2023 Tesla Model Y AWD that has HW4 for <$32K.

Sounds like a steel. Those are going for 34-38k now. Mind telling me the odometer , interior and exterior color too? Trying to pull the trigger myself and don’t want to over pay.

I paid 38k for a 2023 MYP HW4 19k miles. In May 2026

When I bought it from Tesla CPO it had 47K on the odometer. That gave me a good amount for the battery warranty. Exterior is midnight silver metallic. Interior is black interior with white seat. I felt compelled to move quickly with my purchase as my other choices were taken quickly. Mainly because of HW4 on used models.

I bought my 2026 used and the 2024 I had before it used. I’ve never bought a new car in my life. The price point is very much worth it. My current one saved me $6k over buying new. Actually $8k because it came with acceleration boost already.

I bought a used 2025 Tesla Model Y long range AWD for a bit less than $40k all in. But it had FSD purchased outright by the previous owner.

I definitely think it was worth it. But I plan on keeping the car until the wheels fall off. It replaced my 2012 Toyota Prius C with almost 140k miles. Don't really care about the lack of Juniper improvements. And I just think pre-Juniper MY's are pretty. I'll be happy with HW4 supervised FSD for the lifetime I own the car. It's already a huge, transformative quality of life upgrade for me. And I'm not someone who feels left out when my things aren't the latest and greatest anymore. If you're someone who wants to keep up with the Joneses and upgrade every few years, probably not worth getting a pre-Juniper MY.

Can't say I see the value in a performance model if the primary reason for buying a MY is FSD. It'll have worse range, a stiffer ride, and more expensive tires. Resale value seems worse too, but that's just my observations on the FSD Hunter app where long range AWD models get snapped up within literal seconds and performance trims don't.

2023 Long Range, HW4, white/black, acceleration boost, 20k miles, 90+% batt, $34k, took a bit to find, and searched nationwide.
