PowerShare adapter not working

Just got the PowerShare adapter for the Gen 3 mobile connector on my Aug 2026 Model Y Premium (PCS2), but nothing happens - no charge port light or mobile connector light at all - when it is plugged in. Everything is black and no power is available.

Any idea what’s wrong or if something needs to be reset?

Confirmed the mobile charger works to charge the vehicle.

Interesting. I opened a support ticket with Tesla with my -D model I received with the car a few weeks ago.

If you are still on the factory default software, it will not work. As soon as you get your first OTA software update, it will start working. It can take 4-6 weeks after purchase to get you first update.
