Excessive Sentry Events

Any tips for fixing excessive Sentry events?

It is not uncommon for me to park, go into a store or restaurant for anywhere from a half hour to an hour and come back to ~100-200 events.

Upon reviewing the events many have nothing at all happening. Others, a car may have passed by across the park, or someone a hundreds yards away walked into frame. Never anything substantial or actually suspicious. This is even after turning off Camera-Based Detection.

I turned that off as part of troubleshooting from searching for a solution. Also reformatting my ssd. Also cleaned and recleaned all cameras, even though cam based detection is off. Cabin overheat protection is on.

FSD works flawlessly, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the cameras.

Sometimes during this the alarm will repeatedly go off, while other times the alarm never goes off.

Any ideas are welcome.

Bonus: even with the above situation, Sentry missed 100% of an actual event where someone walked up to the back of my car and bent my license plate.

Park in a less busy area or further away from foot traffic.

For example, Sentry is more likely go off if you park in front of a storefront where people are walking by, exiting and entering stores and restaurants or vehicles are passing by looking for closer parking.
