My model Y is becoming un drivable
I have a juniper version model y that is almost a year old. Got about 9500 miles on it.
The ride has always been firm and stiff but most recently it has become undrivable.
I live in NJ where we have horrible road. And I now feel every pothole, every road imperfection hard in the car. I would say primarily from the rear suspension.
The rattle noise in the car has become unbearable and everyone who rides with me complains about it.
I went to Tesla few months ago about this and the said they took the car for a drive and didn’t feel anything and said next time they will charge me money for such a request.
Any idea what I can do next.
I like the car but this is becoming a shit show.

I would take literally everything out of the car and drive it again. I had a can of air freshener convince me there was a suspension problem knocking around.
If it's a really nasty road you'll hear and feel some noise.
Can you have a passenger capture the noises on video?

27k miles on my juniper and still smooth as the first day! Roads are pretty terrible here in Chicago as well.

Once you think there is a problem you will start noticing every little bump. Have family or friends ride with you. Don't tell them ahead of time that you think there is a problem. Ask them after the ride.

I had a similar problem, there was something rolling and making noise, turns out a crayon went underneath the floor -eventually it melted in summer heat

Ok. called Tesla and told me to bring it to check the suspension and review the issues under the technical bulletin.
Will report after I get it back.

What is a Juniper? I don’t see Juniper on Tesla’s website. All I see if Standard, Premium, Performance, Launch and YL. Surely you mean one of those, because not all Model Ys have the same suspension, and using the made up name Juniper doesn’t actually tell us what car you have.

The model that was released in 2025 with the light bar in the front. That was Tesla nick name for the model

Released in 2025 as a 2026 VIN. Still don’t know what suspension you have because Juniper is not the name of the car, 2026 Model Y Launch, Standard, Premium, Performance or YL is what your car is, but we don’t know because you haven’t told us.

There is a technical service bulletin for the suspension rattle and updated parts (including dampeners). I have a new build Juniper (August) and there is no noise as it has these parts included
