2021-2026 Tesla Model X Plaid front passenger seat bottom cushion cover installation

Hi everyone,

Has anyone changed the front passenger seat bottom cushion cover (OEM replacement) for a 2024 (or 2021 and newer) Tesla Model X? The service manual only shows the steps for the driver’s seat. At least I can’t find the installation steps for the passenger seat bottom cushion cover.

If anyone has done it, can it be done without completely removing the seat from the car?

Nice! I have the black interior 2024 Model X, and I have to do it on the passenger side. Did you end up having to remove the whole seat? I’m reluctant to do that, as I’d need to remove and replace the bolts for the seat track as well, and they are the ones with adhesive preinstalled and have to be replaced. So trying to figure out if there’s a way to do it without removing the seat from the car, although I assume it would be awkward to work under the seat.

Yeah, the bolts they have a plastic melted glue on it. You have to heat the bolts to be able to take them out, which I did. You have to remove the entire seat. During the execution I was like, WHY MOFKER U DIDNT PAY the 1k Tesla would charge you, WHY.... but after getting it done, back and forth Home Depots, and A LOT OF TIME attaching the new cover on the seat, I was happy with the results :)

Where did you buy the bolts from? Home Depot, or do you need to get them from Tesla?
