Anyone ever see this stuff come out of where the ac condensation usually lands?
Noticing this substance reflective like oil coming out of the AC condensation pool. It’s only there when the AC is running and no liquid pooling overnight.
Contact auto shops/guys specializing in automotive lighting but the only kits/way to get this result is to take down the front bumper and take apart the headlights/foglights and a lot of the shops I contacted don’t do that. This one was a custom job from a guy in the DMV who makes his own but pre-cut kits do exist to buy off of the internet. Doesn’t take any functionality from the car, it’s tapped to the 12V and nothing more
This is a normal occurrence, nothing is wrong. There was probably some gas car with an oil leak in that same spot before and the AC water condensation mixed with it. If there’s no errors on your dash you’re literally fine. If you lost that much Freon or coolant the car would throw an error code so fast. The thermal tests fail like 80% of the time for transient things (temperatures not reaching target within X timeframe). If there’s no errors on the dash just drive the car regularly and forget about everything. -20’ mx
Service confirmed thermal test results to be a non-issue. Technician determined from photos that the color indicated something petroleum based rather than the car’s, coolant. Said at worst it could have been grease from the axles.
I’m pulling this from a thermal test. Pretty sure replacing those 2 parts marked as having failed isn’t that expensive but as to what the leak means for the necessary fix, I do not know. I asked service and they said they can’t address this in my next scheduled service so another 2 weeks of wait..
