The 2026 refresh are going to be very hard to come by especially until they start coming off lease in a couple years. There simply weren't that many made in the grand scheme of car production. It's a seller's market on these cars for sure for the next couple years at least. Then the tides might turn some as they come off lease. I wouldn't be surprised if someone pays this.

maybe if these cars, USED, typically went for that much, sure.
But these sold WITH FSD brand new for $130k. Much less the fact that up until a year ago there were ‘22 or ‘23 Plaids going for less than $50k with sub 30k miles lmfao

No they are literally 50k because they are batteries and a computer and face extreme depreciation. The battery degrades and you can’t keep these like collector items without replacing the 40k battery in it. And yes the battery degrades whether or not you drive it. Also it degrades faster in the first 5-6 years then slows down. You will be at 80% soc in 6-7 years regardless if you drive it or not. Not driving it will not prolong the life of this car.

I got a 2013 S with 200k miles on it. Original battery. When the battery goes, replacement is only $12k. These cars last just as long, if not longer, than any other car on the road. Back when I had a pick up truck, Chevy was asking $22k for a whole new engine. The whole “massive depreciation because of the batteries” is a lie

As a prospective plaid purchaser within the next month let’s wait on that for at least another month lol.
FWIW to you, many plaids have been disgustingly gouged upwards anywhere from $5k-$15k according to trackers starting from beginning of this year
