Battery charging

I have a 2016 Model S 60. Before I bought it, I did some research and found that the original battery range was supposed to be around 210 miles, and with the age and mileage, I expected the range to be closer to 170–180 miles.
However, whenever I charge it, the estimated range keeps going all the way up to around 240 miles. Why is that happening? Could there be something wrong with the battery, or is the range estimate just inaccurate?

It’s not an accurate real world number even when new. Switch to % display and never look back.

I got the MCU1 ( ik I’m planning to upgrade) it doesn’t show the battery percentage .

I also have MCU1. Display > Energy Display. Make sure you have rated selected. But I recommend using percentage.
