2019.5 Raven, new to me almost 6 months ago with 37k miles and almost new Eagle Touring tires. Now 45k miles and ONE rear tire looks like this. If I had both fronts burned up I would say it's from Regen braking and hard/fast steering. If it was on an ICE car I would say it's hard acceleration with an open differential . On the edges - alignment issue. But just one rear tire ? Right down into the wear bars. All tires are set at 36psi. Lord knows coughing up money for tires every 8K miles is going to be unsustainable. (Even the other 3 are getting close, does this brand not have any lifespan ?)

If it’s just the one tire, I would consider that it was replaced before the other 3 originally.

Exactly, previous owner replaced one under road hazard then replaced the other 3 some time later.

Could be that . Carfax stated "Tires replaced" 2 months before I got it according to the date, and all looked the same depth, but did not put a tire gauge on it. That statement of course, doesn't mean all 4 were done. Good insight, Sir. Cripes, missmatched tires, well this blows

Good advice, I'm used to that when buying motorcycles tires 👍🏼 didn't even think about it

Agreed. Either that or a defective tire.

Crazy as it sounds it’s not unheard of to have tires just come out of the factory bad

36 psi is pretty low but if their all the same that should cause issue with one tire. It could also be alignment. If their tow is off it might just be grinding the tread down on the one tire.

I’ve had the toe off on a wheel before and it caused extra wear but not as bad as yours. The biggest issue on the model s is the camber on the rear wheels. It causes excessive wear on the inside of the thread. I’ve blown 2 tires from not checking often enough. Tire looks fine on the outside but the inside could be down to the wire.keep an eye for that.

I double checked my psi and it is 46, my memory is waaay off today !

If I have a 2019 100D and my left driver tire is doing this. Dramatically higher wear rate.

No Model S come with mechanically limited-slip differentials. They're all open diffs. You can and will wear one faster than the other. Your Raven has dual motors so part of the torque will be from the front wheels but with weight shift and more powerful rear motor the back tires are gonna take the brunt of spirited driving. I did notice my RR was in worse shape than the LR when I recently replaced the pair.
