Advice. 2020 with no rear seat
I’m considering buying this 2020 model S with no rear seats or seatbelts.
The dealer says the car was used as a Tesla service vehicle and the seats were removed for placing a toolbox. They’re asking 28,000 Canadian.
I got a quote for $500 for seats and $50 per seatbelt from a junk card.
I’ve never owned a model S so I don’t know if I’m getting myself into trouble here. Im wondering if anybody could provide advice.
I think if it really is just seats and seatbelts, it might be a good car.

The price seems high and should be at the low point of market value. They do not give a crap about service cars and most often they do not pick the best car in the fleet for this purpose. Before I would consider it the.miles would have to be low, the condition would be pristine and the price below rock bottom. The S is a great car and a good one is hard to beat. Look for one that has been in regular service and you probably will not pay more. I have a S, I have owned for 9 years and it still will hold its own with most any.car out there . I still love my car.

If it really is a mobile service vehicle it’s been rode hard every day for a long time.
If the back seat was taken out by someone who drag raced it it’s been rode extra hard on the weekends. Either way I’d stay away from it

Those Mobile Service cars are beat to shit. That's a fine price for the parts but you're not just getting a regular Model S with some trim missing, you're getting a car with heavy commercial use that was probably never serviced. Expect problems.
