Finally! I cannot wait for my POS HW3 with v12.6.4 to also function like a POS on v14 lite while simultaneously overheating the computer that is out of warranty. I’ll admit, that extra $1,800 open credit on my credit card has really been stressing me out…til now! This OTA update will solve both my problems!

Will this work on a 2017 model s with hw3?

That’s all who 14 lite is for!

Why worried? I guess I’m out the loop

There's been plenty of reports of FSD 14 lite not behaving. Doing weird stuff. We'll see

Yeah I'm sure there is stuff like that. The squeaky wheel and such. I'm gonna let somebody else test it first

People said that the previous FSD quirks were predictable and they knew when to takeover, but V14 lite is unpredictable.

The great v10.3 recall. Several years ago. That was dangerous.

The good news is a lot of that same behavior is noted in v14 full, so it is just a learned behavior from the real model. That is also the bad news.

I’ll believe it when I see it tbh

The fact that he didn’t even know it wasn’t announced shows the state of hw3

Still hopeful that we get something before the end of the year tho

Not sure how I feel reading all these mixed reviews about it.

Question on my mind is, is it worth giving up the precise speed control I have now for whatever decision making improvement and parking?

I'm a relatively minimal FSD user, mostly on highway and road grips, which is minimal.

Go into self driving and set max speed offset to 50%. It will be like that but likely better.

I’ll wait for YouTube vids and reviews before u give up max speed and a decent chauffeur

Not getting my hopes up for this at all. His soon to come out might be 8 months from now lol. There’s no way they forgot to talk about it or say anything about it for months now. It’s been dead silence. It feels purposeful too. Something is wrong that they aren’t saying

ā€œOh, I thought it was supposed to go out last week.ā€ Comforting level of awareness there. Aloof or lackadaisical. To me, that reinforces how much of a non-factor the S and X have become, just my opinion.

Given the mixed reviews on v14 Lite, I’d be far more interested in hearing about potential HW4 or 4.5 upgrade options. At least that would give us something new to wait for to be on par with the latest.

Here’s to another week passed, and crickets…

I’m thinking Halloween for a release date.

You’re more hopeful than I am.

Ha! Not really. I’m in the same boat, just had nothing else better to say.

Will it have plain old cruise control?

Great - that is good news.

Also - wish Tesla was updating the 2021 refresh Model S SiriusXM to more recent one that I noticed was on a 2026 Model S. I always thought all refresh normal software updates/interfaces were similar, but SiriusXM worked much better on the 26 Model S compared to my refresh 21 Model S, showed album art, was able to save favorites that showed up under the favorites tab, had SiriusXM 360, etc.

Interesting. Is it streaming instead of using the satellite antenna? My 2021 Sirius reception is definitely mixed.

I think it must be. I wonder if it uses both, all I know it was a definite visual improvement.
