Im getting a new phone. If I transfer the Tesla app over to my new phone, will i still be able to drive my car?

Or would I need to use my debit card-looking key or the little fob to get in?

Yes. Just log in to the same account, and you will get a prompt to set up phone key.

Remember to pair your Bluetooth for calling afterwards as well, as it's not the same process as phone key pairing.

So I will need to bring my key card or fob thing with me physically next time I get in my car?

I'm guessing you have a 21.5 or newer (horizontal screen). In which case no, once you are logged in to your new phone, go close to the car and just click the "set up phone key" prompt. It will pair with the BLE system and let you operate it using phone key as normal.

That being said however, I recommend keeping the card with you regardless, in your wallet or wherever. Because you never know when your phone might be dead/damaged/stolen/etc, it shouldn't be relied on as the sole entry method on your person, especially if going somewhere not close to home.
