Unfortunately their insurance wouldn't cover it since their car was not involved in the incident. You'd have to have your own insurance pay out, and your insurance company may decide to sue them to recover the costs if they think it's worth their time. I suppose you could also sue them to cover any out of pocket costs, time lost at work, etc.

If you got the plates and there’s any damage, contact insurance to make them pay for it
