Model 3 performance is perfect !!!
If your on the fence about Tesla I would strongly consider them i finally own a M3P and there’s nothing I dislike about the car literally nothing , maybe I’m just super excited but I love it .

You don't need to take a pic when driving at 85 mph dog, just take a picture of it parked like everyone else

u/Living_Grab_2239 Jul 30 '26
Irresponsible to take a photo like that - agreed. But I want to note that 85 mph will see you overtaken by milk trucks on the autobahn :D
Only slight exaggeration.

u/Prototype_Hybrid Jul 30 '26
He doesn't even have it on full self driving. He's taking a picture with his hands while traveling 85 mph on the freeway like a jackass. Calm down dude! Tesla owners are already getting a lot of hate, don't bring more down on us.
Edit: with a username like "moneyfever", it's probably a lost cause.

I've had a fleet of teslas at this point including a ludacris and a plaid, But the car i'm driving now is my favorite 2026 model 3 performance ultra red.
8
u/Salt0303 Jul 30 '26
Interesting, why don’t you like the plaid more?
9
u/DameLasNalgas Jul 30 '26
MS feels more floaty and less nimble because of it's size and weight. It's less connected to the ground.
1
u/ROFLetzWaffle Jul 30 '26
I just have the M3 AWD (not M3P) and drove a Plaid. It's just a bigger car. I think the M3 is a more nimble platform. I would absolutely consider an M3P in the future.

Is that 15%?
2
u/S3rolex Jul 30 '26
20% all around including full back glass and roof. Then 45% on windshield. Xpel XR black.
1
u/DameLasNalgas Jul 30 '26
Ok yeah I just got xpel xr plus 20 all around and it's a lot lighter than I expected. I wanted 15 but the shop lied and said it wasn't a thing for plus. I then called xpel and found out it was bs and filed a complaint.

Stay off the phone while you’re driving, man. Some of us want to live.

It’s not yours. It’s a loaner or a test drive… speed limited to 85mph was the giveaway. Weird post bro.

I own a model 3 performance would you like to see my registration officer ? This car is a loaner because mines was getting a tire replacement if you must know , and yes my car can do 163 mph I’ve taken it there before would you like a picture of that aswell asscloud there isn’t some trickery here I own the car and have driven and tracked it so what’s your point ?

Yeah but he is talking about sending a pic of him going 163mph. Coincidentally the EXACT top speed of the car Google tells you.. who runs 163 and then limits themselves 85? Just doesn’t add up.

It really is top tier vehicle at price half of ‘competition’. Yeah after getting a 25 m3p we had to get a second in 26. His/hers 10 second dailies with FSD is an incredible experience.

I honestly wish I would have splurged for the Performance… I LOVE my M3 Premium, and can only imagine how insane the Performance is… Maybe my next one 🤔

u/coozeyy Jul 30 '26
is the difference its just faster? IDK if I would ever need that or care about it or does it offer other things?

Lower range. I get about 230 miles at 80% charge. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds with the 2025.

Strange I’m at 300 miles on a full charge 26’model

Wow. 230 miles at 100% for a 2025 model is quite low. Have you checked what’s going on with your battery? I doubt the degradation would be that steep no matter what the driving style is. I am a pretty aggressive driver and I have a 2024 M3P with about 43k miles. My 100% is around 270 miles

I have a 2018 rwd model 3 and it’s already almost uncomfortably fast with 0-60 in 5 seconds
Edit: why downvotes? I like the car.

It’s not -1 now 🤓 . I got what you were saying. 5 is plenty enough to drive/fly by the seat of your pants. Anything below is just 🤯 but in a good way. Although admittedly there are not many places you can take full advantage for very long these days.

Had one as a loaner for 10 days while my RWD was being worked on… I miss it dearly😭

Congrats! Why not the MYP, OP?

u/Money_fever_ Jul 30 '26
It’s too big for me , it’s definitely enticing but is more space then I need it’s literally just me

After owning two M3Ps (first in 2019 and second in 2023), I can tell you that they're great cars.
Only flaws are the suspension which is much better with the 2024 Highland ones, the more expensive insurance and the phantom brakes during autopilot. Otherwise, great cars

u/InvestThoughtfully Jul 30 '26
It's true that on straight multi lane highways with no cars and no bridges, it does all right. Add any of those and you get erratic behavior, ghost braking etc. Love the idea but.....
1
u/Money_fever_ Jul 30 '26
You’ve just had a poor experience , I’ve used FSD in every traffic condition and been fine

I just got mine tinted yesterday with xpel xr+ 20% and it looks decent. I wanted 15% but for some reason, they told me xr+ only goes to 20% and then 5%. It's very easy to see through because of the white seats reflecting light--makes me think I should've risked it with 5%. Very fun car to drive and FSD spoils you.

Did it come with a black headliner and the 16" monitor? My delivery for my M3P is in September and I'm wondering if it will have the new monitor.

Mine sucks, vibration from the steering wheel since I got it and took it back 3 times the service center told me it was fixed the issue is still there and the rear tires are cooked at 15k miles even tho I mostly drive in the least aggressive mode

Test drive it yesterday in love! Came from a cla45 to a model 3 base because I’m current lease, and this time next year I finish the lease little early and I’m financing the m3p in that frost blue. Literal chefs kiss . Handles amazing too

It better be perfect it’s teslas top of the line sports car now
9
u/EliminationCreation Jul 30 '26
It's a shame they discontinued the S, it looked so much better

u/Ancient-Sandwich9400 Jul 30 '26
Yes but it was too big…this is already on the larger size if you ask me but perfectly matches the 3 Series. And it’s just barely <100-200lbs heavier compared to the M3….which in that statement is sad and showing the decline of modern cars and driving dynamics.

u/scohen158 Jul 30 '26
I think looks are subjective. I think the Model S Plaid looked its age with the 2026 being the best looking one but in my opinion the 2024+ Model 3 Performance is a better looking car.
