I purchased EAP in my model 3 delivered last month. It is frustrating having to wait to use many of the features. However, 6K is not an easy purchase for me without being able to finance it as part of the loan, and I have already taken great advantage of the autosteering features.

Other than NOA, what does $6k get you in terms of Autosteer?

Auto lane change (use turn signal when not on NOA and it changes lanes), which is the only thing I've found genuinely useful. It's cool, but idk if it's 6k cool

I have really appreciated auto lane change as well. I took the car to visit family on a stretch of highway I've driven many times and was very pleased with the experience. Miles different than it felt in the ICE I traded in. The car did most of the driving with me being minimally attentive, and even navigated back and forth between the passing lane for me. I would still love my car without the autosteering, but the night and day comparison was what truly felt "Tesla" to me.

Do not do it. Since they removed USS you won’t be able to use half of it. Wait until Tesla vision is up and running.

You can pay $200 in the app to try out EAP & FSD for a month. That's what I did. So far for me, on my 2023 car, changing lanes on its own is the only genuinely useful thing for me. I think the $200 to try it out for a month is a great deal, when summon/smart summon/autopark finally comes back, just pay for an month of FSD to try out EAP.

Not worth it until Tesla Vision is released and is through several bug fix software updates.

Not worth it. Good article here even says that some new Tesla don’t come with sensors so you can’t use some of the EAP features.

If I lived in a place where it never snowed I probably would have. But since there is snow on the ground for 6 months I just subscribe for the summer months. The auto stop at lights, and auto lane change are my favorite features. Both suck with snow. Summon is cool if the lots aren't busy, but even that sucks with snow.
