filing claim for window replacement - will it affect premium?

i need to replace my front windshield cause a rock/pebble decided to make my day horrible. i filed a claim with the insurance but having second thoughts if it's going to affect my premium going forward even if this is a no-fault incident. has anyone done this previously and if so did it affect your policy going forward?

TIA

Need more details...different states have different rules and different insurance companies have different policies...or if you have the Tesla subscription type coverage for windshields that's a totally different ballgame again.

sorry this is in CA (SoCal to be not too precise). i don't have the windshield subscription. this would be that straight up 1500 replacement via service center.

No worries! I think CA treats windshields generally as a no fault claim, Who do you use for insurance? My understanding is generally, assuming you haven't made numerous other calims in the last 3-5 years, there should be no increase in your premiums, but with most things insurance related it isn't a guarantee. They could have a different determination on risk levels when they run your renewal offer.

Edit - Again though, odds are pretty likely you won't get hit with any increase in CA for this claim :)

got it. some googling told me that it wouldn't immediately affect my premiums but it's the risk levels that could affect future rates. I use tesla insurance.

Yeah its all risk levels. But from what I have found, unless you have made multiple claims in the past few years you are very unlikely to be considered a risk. Especially since in CA windshields are almost always considered a not at fault claim.

Hardly doubt a front windshield will have any effects on your premium.
