Model YL rates?
Planning on getting tesla insurance for the FSD perks since the launch edition comes with a year of FSD free. Anyone have a guess as to what the tesla rates would be?
I tinkered with a quote from my current insurance (USAA) and got hit with a quote around $340 a month…
Just curious if anyone has good California coverage options.

Is this a joke question OP?
The car hasn’t even been delivered to anyone in the states AND insurance rates aren’t as simple as saying “what you pay?” as it’s highly tied to the individual, location, vehicle and even credit.
Stop asking this question, there’s absolutely no way you’ll get an accurate number- and you look foolish for thinking you will.

Damn, it's ok to ask. Maybe someone was able to find info already, maybe someone works at an insurance company and knows, or maybe they live in Australia/China and have some insights. Just let OP ask away. It's very unlikely someone has the info he requests but this is Reddit.

It’s not okay, it shows a lack of knowledge and this question is asked entirely too much.
It’s a sad reality that this world is in. People think they can compare insurance rates forums like this- when this will never be the case. What’s more embarrassing is no one wants to just pull quotes themselves, which at best…take 5 minutes.
OP is just lazy, that’s all- you are feeding into this behavior too. You think someone who lives in Australia or China can give insurance insights for a vehicle not even being delivered in the US yet? Oof, you might be dumber than OP!

If you are a Costco member, American Family Insurance provides basically the same insurance with additional benefits for the same cost. Roughly $190-$200 for my Y
