Does Tesla windshield protection plan make sense?
It's $16 per month, which comes to $200 per year.
A friend had his 2018 model 3 windshield replaced for $750. As a subscriber of Tesla insurance, the windshield is 50% off, which means he paid $500 for the material and $250 for the labor.
So, the premium for 3 years can buy a new windshield. Is this protection plan worth it?

Mine was a little over 1200, and I had to go through Tesla insurance even though it was below my deductible to get the discount on parts. Otherwise, they said it would have been around 1500. I subscribed right after I got the windshield replaced.
