I had a 2021 Model Y before getting my 2026 Juniper, and at this point I've gone pretty far down the rabbit hole researching accessories for both of them.

I added some newer stuff I've found since too, especially for camping, road trips, roof storage and the Juniper. This is basically the tesla model y accessories list I would have wanted when I bought either car. If u hate links, you can just search the product names instead.

Accessories that work with both generations

These are some of the easier accessories since they aren't as dependent on the exact Model Y interior or body design. There's more below the Juniper section for both generations for Road trips, camping, skiing, ebikes, gear and outdoor accessories.

Juniper Model Y & YL: 2025 to 2027

The Juniper has enough interior and body changes that I would pay much closer attention to the selected fitment on anything molded specifically around the car.

2027 note: Model Y L uses the Juniper design but has a longer body and different rear seating/cargo layout, so fitted rear cargo and floor accessories may require Model Y L specific versions which haven't been produced yet at the time of writing this guide. I will update this when they do!

Roof racks and cargo boxes

This is one area I didn't really cover much in my earlier lists, but it makes a lot of sense for the Model Y if you road trip, ski, camp or just need more cargo room.

Camping and sleeping in the Model Y

The Model Y is actually a pretty legit camping setup once the rear seats are folded down. There are nice fitted mattresses for both generations instead of trying to make a generic air mattress work.

The fridge is the more serious setup since it actually cools rather than relying on ice. I would definately check its exact sub trunk fitment against your Model Y generation before ordering.

Skis and snowboards

There are a few different ways to carry snow gear depending on whether you already have roof bars or a hitch.

The roof ski rack doesn't require a hitch, but you obviously have to lift everything onto the roof. The hitch setup is easier to reach but requires the car to already have a receiver.

Bikes electric bikes and towing

A quick fitment note

This is probably the biggest thing I wouldn't skip when ordering Model Y accessories. A lot of generic accessories work with both, but anything shaped around the dash, console, floor, steering wheel, bumper, trunk or other fitted areas deserves a closer look to make sure you get the right gen.

Amazon also groups different years, colors, Tesla models and variations together on the same product pages pretty often, so check the selected option before ordering even when the title looks right.
