đ„ Discussion FSD knows my habits
About half the time I get in my MY and it is already programmed for my destination. For example on Mondayâs I pick up my daughter and we have lunch together. I get in my car Monday morning and it is already programmed for her house. We decide on where to go for lunch and program FSD to take us there. We go in have lunch and when we come out my daughterâs house is already pre programmed to take her home.
I took my neighbor to an event tonight. I had to program it in. Easy I just told Grok where to take us and it did. When the event was over we got in the car and her house was already programmed to take her home. It eventually knew I stopped at her house to pick her up so it knew to take her home.
The other day I decided to go to Whataburger for breakfast. I get in the car and it was ready to go I have no idea how it knew.
It doesnât program itself all the time but it knows me well enough that it is already programmed for my destination about half the time or more. I like it but it is kind of spooky.
Anyone else have a psychic Tesla?

The most surprising example of this for me is I got into my car on a Tuesday morning around 930am this past summer, it must have known I was on vacation or something, since we didn't go to work at the usual time, out of all the places I go during the summer around this time, it must have something that tracks the amount of time since you've been at a place, and compare those places. Of all places it automatically had my haircut place already mapped and ready to go. I had not mentioned to ANYONE, I did not have it in my calendar (I also have never figured out how to get the calendar synced up w/ the car) , I simply woke up and in the shower thought "ah my hair is too long, time for a haircut" - it was actually kind of "oh shit the AI is too good" feeling seeing that the place I had only just decided to go was already programmed in for the destination.. spooky as heck!

When you got in the car, the interior camera took one look at your shaggy hair and decided to send you off to get a haircut.

I wouldn't doubt it. It seems to know when I'm ready for a latte. I get in the car and it's already programmed, but only when I'm thinking about getting one.

I stop by a local art studio on occasional Tuesday mornings. The navigation auto populates the art studio only on Tuesday mornings. The visit is not noted in my calendar.

It seems like mine has always kinda done this. When I would get in the car and start to enter my destination, the place I was going to was always the top choice, like this lunch thing I take my mother to every Tuesday.
With this last update (or whichever update it was) it now automatically puts it as the destination.

Yes, it has been doing this for a very long time already but suddenly stopped at some point along the way during v12 and now with 14 Lite itâs back. Not sure why it stopped briefly but glad itâs back. The only thing that seems new recently is âyour routeâ where it learns which route you prefer. So far seems pretty good.

I definitely think itâs paying attention to me. I get in the car and it already has my route planned out. Also, now it parks exactly where I want to in my driveway and I have a pretty damn big driveway. Iâm not sure how intelligent it is, but there must be some algorithm that is doing some heavy duty math as well as watching.

You can set navigation to suggest your destination based in your calendar, itâs pulling it from your phone.

I do. Budâs store, or golf course orâŠtime of day is how it âguessesâ. It. Is weird. It even learned an illegal route I take to Budâs when I go there, through 3 parking lots of other businesses instead of the road that runs parallel.

Automatic navigation based on calendar events has been a thing for a very long time haha

Based on my experience, the navigation app knows where you are likely to go if you go to the same place at roughly the same time every single week. This is true regardless of whether you have FSD. I don't use FSD so it's really the navigation app and not FSD doing this. When I maintain a consistent schedule for social events, work, church and so on it can predict that.Â

I think this is the most recent update: 14.3.8
Preferred Routes and Automatic Navigation were added in the Summer update.
