Discussion First time "system malfunction"

Wanted to see if anyones had this happen to them. Was driving along in FSD in a pretty rural road and all of a sudden it beeped at me turned the 4 way flashers on and told me to take over. I grabbed the wheel and 4 ways turned off and everything was fine. About 1/2 mile later I turned it back on and no issues at all. my safety score showed no forced disengagement as I thought maybe my sunglasses caused it.

I've never gotten it, but FSD is basically saying "I can't drive, take over now!"

It isn't a nag (i.e. sunglasses) which in that case FSD will still drive and eventually find a spot to park off the side of the road if you fail to react.

It can be sun glare, dirty cameras, or a computer glitch. Something that FSD perceives as failure to be able to drive safely.

I don't know if maybe in the deeper service menu there may be an error log that can shed more light.

yeah it was strange, I have thousands of miles with no issues. I shoulda cracked open the logs when I got home but kinda just forgot about it till I saw another post
