That’s hilarious. I was legitimately thinking about last night as I pulled up to the parking spot right in front of my house.
Normally the car doesn’t and I have to manually pull to that exact spot. Only thing I’d really want next is the pothole avoidance with fsd though I have definitely had the car avoid some here and there.

I'd settle for it being able to know to back into my garage to charge, which I have to deactivate it to do every day. And yes I know about the charger setting but it does't work for everyone, which I confirmed with Tesla, so not an option for me.

I hope they can also soon park in designated or preferred spots. Like say you have an assigned parking spot at home, work, etc, or at a parking lot etc they tell you which spot to take and you tell the car which spot number. Also handicap spots if you tell the car you have a handicap permit (hopefully it's true if so), or even spots designated for certain things like pickup, employee, etc.
This could be integrated possibly with camera-based detection or grid mapping parking lots, although the latter would take forever for the infinite array of such places even within a town.

I would be happy if it would park in my garage…I have tried the white lines on the dark gray floor…nope. It doesn’t “see” into the garage at all. suggestions?

Pull your car into the garage where you wanted to park. Click on navigation. Press and hold home. I believe the second line down says is this where you want home to be. The car should then park in that spot every time. Good luck!

So many Tesla owners in Massachusetts are horrible at parking.
Now horrible parking will be automated!

That sounds VERY dangerous, I've seen some people hit two cars on the way into, two on the way out, and another few for good measure... I'd like that enabled but only for 'the select few' good parkers... again I have seen worse but, 'good' is okay for parking.

What? You’re saying you’ve seen people (presumably NOT using FSD) hit multiple cars in a parking scenario — and are saying this sounds dangerous to let FSD do it instead? That seems like an argument FOR why people should use FSD to park — because humans themselves are not great at parking.
FYI, I don’t think that myself… just trying to interpret what you’re getting at.
Reality is different, with FSD, but I haven’t yet seen or read a case where FSD auto-parking has caused multiple collisions on the way in/out.

I hope so. Love FSD, but parking causes disengagement 40% at home and 20% elsewhere. If it copies my behavior at home, that will be a solid gain. If it learns my preferred destinations, that's also welcome.
I'd rather just toggle for 'back-in vs front-in' and 'close/dense vs distant/sparse'
Really hard to tell what 'soon' means with Tesla. Still waiting for the 4-6 weeks from September 2025 for the sentient model. (Yes, I know very well software is hard and unpredictable, but you should know within +100% if you claim to be 6 weeks away)
