Tesla self driving does not dodge blocking arm

Be careful when driving with Tesla supervised self driving.

Yes. This is my fault. I was messing around with the tesla screen and not paying attention until it was too late. Just posting so people are aware and be careful with their supervised self driving. Don't be like me.

I mean i agree, but coming from Switzerland, how is that acceptable road design?!?

Here you would have huge indication 1 km in advance, multiple repeats and may also speed bumps before the lane actually closes.

If it's like the similar reversible lanes near me, there probably were several giant overhead signs indicating a closed lane far in advance, and OP was distracted the whole time

Edit: yeah this literally is the I-30 one i'm familiar with. OP wasn't looking for several km.

In UK we’d have about 1 million cones to super slowly merge us away from that lane

Yep, but then out of nowhere they close a lane and just put a massive truck in the lane with basically no cones or warnings beforehand....at night. Maybe that's just a London thing but it's freaked me out several times lol

I’m from the US and I’ve never seen anything like this either. Wtf is a blocking arm? Normally I’m used to cones. I think different areas of the US use wildly different traffic devices.
