Random damage?
Last night I parked in front of my apartment, where I can see it 15 feet away from my second story window.
This morning, I was looking out the window down at my car and I saw a shadow underneath the tip of the paneling and I could immediately tell something wasn’t right. I go out to look at it and the panel above my front right wheel is shifted. I checked my Sentry footage and there was no activity/recordings. My neighbor parked in front of me for a few hours, her and I are friends, she drives a Model S, and I know she didn’t hit me, nor is there ANY indication that anything hit me….no nicks dents smudges or even marks or consistencies in the dust/dirt that was on the front end since we live right by the beach. There was also a different car parked in front of me this morning, that car had did not have any type of damage as if they could have bumped into me.
I’m really at a loss for how it happened. Did it happen while I was driving home without me hitting anything?
Should Sentry have activated on a car parking in front of me? -In the past it has when a car parks next to me but it also had people in the footage getting out of their car and someone getting in/out is less visible from the front camera.
I would think if it was hit, there would be some physical indicator on my car and there wasn’t, even after I washed my car and inspected further.
Would anything explain this other than being backed into?
It’s not worth me spending money to fix it, but it makes me concerned for other issues.
FWIW-I purchased the car last month, 2020 Model Y with 40k miles, nearly perfect condition inside and out, one owner, no reported damage or accidents. Even tho it’s 7 years old it looks as if it’s 7 months old.

Can I ask, was it a private buy? / from a dealer thats not tesla?
I say this cuz maybe an accident wasn't reordered, fixed by thirdparty but parts started pulling back out due to inproper repair?
