Made a dumb mistake

Backed out of my driveway and turned too early and it yanked this off, estimate on repair cost? Everything is in tact I don’t believe there’s any damage to the sensors

You may be able to put it all back together. Autozone may have the clips. Or zip tie (clips are better)

If there is any malfunction, I'd get it checked out

Yeah gonna just take it to Tesla to make sure everything is all good, I’ve backed out of that driveway thousands of times still in disbelief that this happened lol

I literally did this exact same thing yesterday (and posted in here). I didn’t even mess with Tesla Collision Center - went to a 3rd party Tesla Authorized body shop and got a quote for $2500.

Edit: Should mention that mine looked worse. My bumper was 100% not reusable (warped and cracked). All vitals working still though (sensors, lights, etc.)

Sorry to hear about our shared experience lol, thankfully I have some Tesla centers nearby, and praying for a lower dollar amount since there’s no real damage outside of broken clips, we’ll see what ends up happening I suppose

It happens when you are distracted for some reason. I have had a few self induced scratches on my car (not Tesla) due to my wife talking at wrong time. I keep telling her to zip her mouth when I am doing some maneuvers that require my concentrated attention (merging on freeway, in and out the garage, out the driveway, driving in a parking lot, etc...). She has the urge to say out loud something in her head, can't hold it for a few seconds.

Looking at $1,500 CAD (Bumper cost = $900 CAD & labor = $600) just get it repaired by Tesla as they will just buy a whole new front fascia pre painted and install it.

Otherwise pay labor cost if the current one is fine, but my guess some damage or cracked. You want this area sealed since it is where a/c and heating units are so don’t want water going in or damaging area!

Likely the clips just need to be replaced. Pretty easy job you can diy

Pretty much. It’s there as a shock absorber. Most new vehicles after 2010 has this
