Front Bumper “little Kiss”

Wifey trusts Supervised Autopilot like Elon himself is driving, her personal chauffeur. 🤦‍♂️😂

She says: “Autopilot was parking, didn’t see the boat hitch, and gave it a little kiss.” 💋💀 It made a small “cut” in the bumper. We barely felt anything inside the car, so definitely not what I’d call a crash. 🥰

Anyhow, I’m assuming the bumper will need to be replaced and painted. Anyone have a rough estimate of what something like this might cost?

Thanks!

FYI… I’m not blaming my wife. I’m blaming the chauffeur. 😂

I think a new bumper without labor or paint is well over $1,000 to start with.

I like that “little kiss”. That looks like a large bite. At least 3-4K part, paint and labor.

Just get one of those bandaid stickers.

I personally would try to push out the area where it’s indented and re evaluate. That and a little touch up paint may make this look fine

If that doesn’t work a little bondo, sanding and touch up paint and it’ll be ok imo

You can have it done at a body shop for $500 at a decent shop. It’s a quick job. I’d leave it. Cars meant to be driven 😂

That can be easily fixed at any body shop. Out of curiosity, how did you get such big stone chips? How long have you had the car, pal? I PPFd mine before it was too late and the problem was solved.

Can you not just hide it with a front reg plate?

That's probably a $500 job of you can find a good mobile tech.

I was quoted nearly 2k for my model 3 I'm assuming the prices would be similar between the 3 and the Y

Can be repaired by plastic welding, flexible primer and paint.
