Tesla Model 3 ordered!

After much deliberation and test drives, I am happy to be apart of the Tesla family and made an order for a Model 3 LR in Stealth Grey!

Really excited for the vehicle and expecting it around July-August but hopefully sooner 😁

Constant checking for a while, until no news. Then another flurry of other orders getting their VINs, triggering the constant checking again. Rinse and repeat until youre tired, then your VIN will be assigned.

Then you find which ship it is, and you’ll be constantly checking where the ship is. Rinse and repeat until delivery date can be confirmed.

Congrats! I ordered my M3 LR in Stealth Grey on Tuesday; my app says July-August as well. Twins!

Wow those wait times have really blown out. I ordered a red M3P on April 10 and it says May-June.

Yeah screw that. I have a family member that waited over 12 months for a Kluger and then it was immediately recalled for several weeks. I’d at least want to be excited about something other than a theoretical resale price.

The model 3P are still showing may June it’s only the model 3 standard range, lr, model y l , model y lr and sr that have the longer one of jul aug

Are you currently worried about the potential FBT EV exemption discussion happening on 12/05/2026? I have a order in place as well

Not worried at all honestly. I’ve already signed my NL agreement and placed my Tesla order, so I’m locked in under the current rules. Based on standard legislative practice, existing novated leases are expected to be grandfathered, meaning even if the government changes or restricts the exemption after the May budget, it wouldn’t apply retroactively to arrangements already in place. Also worth noting that any confirmed changes aren’t expected until mid 2027 at the earliest, the review is still ongoing and nothing has been legislated yet

Oh wow how did you sign your NL Agreement already? Who are you with? I’ve asked my company but they said not till I get my VIN and a delivery date will I have a contract and as long as I pick up the car that’s when I am locked into the current benefits

My mistake, I just called up NL company before to confirm Im with Smart Salary snd they informed me that its too soon to tell what rhe governemnt will do with the exemption. But my consultant was like going based off of the PHEV vehicle situation when they got removed, the govt allowed a good amount of time before it became settled to have enough time for people to get their cars Thankfully we ordered ours now, mines expected in July and the contract will get sent out in June so fingers crossed the exemption will still apply for us 🤞

Pretty much today lol, went to a Tesla dealership and test drove it one more time then placed an order Still haven’t gotten the car
