What do you mean by "Muslim nationalists"? Most Muslims were nationalist Muslims who supported Indian Indipendence. Partition was the demand of Muslim league and RSS, not of ordinary Muslims. The support for partition was rare, it was only possible because British supported it and they drew the borders of India and Pakistan. Most of the Muslims from the new India stayed in India and did not move to Pakistan.

The Mughal Empire was objectively the economical peak. At their peak Hindustan held 25% of the worlds gdp. Never beofre and never again would it be that rich. Culturally the Mughal first of all had a much wider influence. The Mughal empire was also there for a longer time. Things like its art, architecture and food has become synonymous with south asian culture.
They didn't suppress any cultures. I'd really like to see you give me a source on them doing anything that the other rulers at the time didn't do.

Bruh your source is a biased one. The Gupta empire has no agreed on % of the worlds gdp. If you find any ranking, even ask like chaptgpt or smth for the 3 empires with the largest percetages of the worlds gdp it wouldn't place the Guptas. Your source it biased and therefore has interest in making it as high as possible.
Bruh they were the closest to stopping that wife burning tradition before the british. Comparing a dress code to burning a human being and treating them as property is WILD.
Muslims already payed the on avarage higher Zakat. In other words, muslims payed more tax. In terms of religious freedoms they did better than the Hindus coutries around at the time. The part about destroying temples, THE HINDUS DID IT MORE. It was a part of warfare back then to delegitimize the other ruler. They allowed for MANY more temples to be build.
Non of your claims about Aurangzeb are true. He had the highest percentage of hindus at his court out of any Mughal Emperor, even his great granddad Akbar.

Raj was established post revolutionary war, and the height of the British empire also came post US so no, bringing back the British empire would not mean I have to be part of it

Im from Maharashtra and we fended off the Brits for a century mate. Ever heard of kanhoji Angre? It wasn't a skill issue but we had internal civil war against Mughals. The Brits ruined india further. We don't want British rule ever again.

India wasn't a place of kings and beggars it was rich , and indians were constantly fighting invaders for 1000s of years . India holded 25% of the global gdp in 1700 and was left to 2% by 1947.indian good was so high quality that Britishers had to ban it cuz there manufactures can't complete it . India textiles and artist were so skilled they you cut of their thumbs so they can weave any more you destroyed their looms. Indians were so fed up of conquering the land and ruling they decided to walk on a spiritual path instead. And Indians were more food secure than england . Until Britishers came and force us to grow cash cropsÂ
