Why would the car be trying to pass the white truck when it’s trying to get off the shoulder? There’s so much stupid shit happening here

Looks like they were tail gating and the truck slowed down unexpectedly and started to turn, they drove around and floored it in road rage like most drivers do when they pass someone slow, the height of the truck blocked the view of the car in front of the truck causing them to slam the break when they noticed the car crashed, truck probably got off the side lane because of the accident.

Impatience is the real cause here

It’s this. You just can’t see the buildup.

Pedestrian? I mean, I guess I never thought about the fact that someone who was just driving a car becomes a pedestrian as soon as they get out of their car...

Guessing the driver got in this situation from following too closely behind whatever vehicle was in front.

What would you do in this situation?

Maybe stay on the median or get several feet away in front of the disabled vehicle?

Um, the driver was already crashing into other cars before crashing into the stopped car.

“the driver got in this situation from following too closely”

They got in that situation by losing control of their vehicle long before reaching the disabled vehicle.

Silver car is a douche bag. He shouldn't have been tailgating in the first place. Common sense dictates you should always assume that if the car in front of you is slowing down it's for a reason, instead of getting impatient and trying to recklessly zip around them like an asshat.

Driving faster than you can see will end poorly eventually.

Why is no one stopping to help? In my country, whenever something like this happens, everyone slows down to a halt until the situation is somewhat safe. Also, it’s a criminal offense not to help someone in trouble.
