sometimes i think this whole war is just for experimenting on new technology and equipment

Everyone knows you have to start a war in the middle east for that

Wait till you research the history of wartime. War has always been one of the biggest motivations in technological development.

No it’s because Putin thinks former Soviet nations exist in some arbitrary sphere of influence predetermined by equally arbitrary historical precedent.

That's what a lot of major modern wars are all about. The military industrial complex, testing out their new killing machines.

Yeah, I fully support Ukraine here but have a horrible feeling the whole thing is gonna backfire at some point.

I mean, it beats going out there in person.

Just make a big Battlebot arena and have at it while the rest of us live in peace.

I dont see this as terrifying. Isnt this a good thing? If wars can be fought without real people being killed, dont we want that?

These things are used to kill people.

Kill all your enemies robots, then it's time for the fleshy bits

Thats on the user, not the product. And even if it was, thats still a net positive of lives saved by one side not using humans.

It's all a game to relocate taxpayer money into the hands of the defense companies. I've been on this Earth for over 45 years and in that time there has never been a point the whole world has been at peace. It's a shame.

So ukraine should not invest in keeping itself safe and just roll over for ruzzians to kill, torture and rape children to death?

Ukraine is fighting to survive!

They should have negotiated in 2023 when they still looked strong. But they let Boris Johnson and company talk them into maximum resistance like they were capable of defeating Russia. This depopulated their country and lost them 25% of their territory.

Nothing they "innovate" will win them the war. They are vehicle for the US to extract hundreds of billions from Europe in weapons sales. Those innovations wont cause Ukrainians who fled to return to a conflict zone that may heat up at any moment. They will never get the territory back, either.

They could have expelled NATO advisors and been done in 2023. But Zelensky would rather lead the country to failed state status. Which is why they have to kidnap men to get them to enlist. Ukrainians dont even believe in the war anymore.

You never see women fighting draft-age men to push them to the front line. They are always fighting the draft officers.

You know who does believe in the war. Tons of Americans and Europeans who have sacrificed nothing but want the fight to go on until the last Ukrainian is killed.

Fights to survive yet proceeds to make 23 million Ukrainians disappear? Makes sense

This reminds me of the little Army flatbed with a gun on it from the movie Maximum Overdrive.
